Example of Tzolkin Table.

To calculate a kin (stamp and tone) from a date given, you have to look for the number associated with the year (No. in green), the number associated with the month (No. in blue) and the number typical of the day. The three numbers are added, and if the result is greater than 260, this amount is subtracted. Finally, the resulting number, always less than 260, is looked for in the Tzolkin, where the tone is shown with dots and dashes, and the seal appears to the left of the row.

For example, if we want to know the kin of July 25, 2013, we would have to add 164 +234 + 25 = 423, and subtracting 260 appears 163, which corresponds in the Tzolkin to Night 7.
